geopalz :: walk to win

It’s no secret that childhood obesity is an epidemic in our nation.  In today’s digital age it’s easy for kids to spend too much time sitting and not enough time moving.  GeoPalz are activity tracker pedometers especially designed for kids that offers a unique motivator to help get them up and moving.

geopalz ladybugTo start GeoPalz has some great kid-friendly designs.  You can view the complete selection of GeoPalz’s 24 different designs at their online store, but with themes ranging from Princess/Fairy to Rock-n-Roll to Sports I don’t think it will be hard for every kid to find a GeoPalz design that they enjoy.

Each GeoPalz comes with a unique code to register at the GeoPalz website.  Registration is free, and it gives your child an online source to not only track the progress of their accumulating steps, but also to earn prizes.  Yes, I said earn prizes (that would be the unique motivator I mentioned.)

These kid-friendly prizes range from jump-ropes and water bottles to balls, yo-yos and even gift cards.  It’s good to note that GeoPalz are meant for kids 5 and up, but even my (almost) 4-year-old Michaela could still find a perfect motivator prize to work for.  She is very excited to wear her JuJu Bug when ever possible to add up enough steps and earn the points needed for the $10 Target gift card her heart is set on.geopalz

I think it’s good to note that the pedometer actually slips into the inside of the rubber coated stylized case.  Each case has a tether strap to keep the pedometer unit from getting lost from the case as well as a clip on the case so your kid can wear their GeoPalz on their hip.  If you’re looking for a great motivator to get your kids up and moving more I highly recommend giving GeoPalz a try!
