exploring the last frontier :: my Alaska trip

What is the first thing you do when you get to Alaska? Take a deep, full breath. One of those revitalizing breaths that reaches to your toes, and as you exhale, push out all the smog, chemicals and impurities you’ve been breathing for years. That is my Alaska… refreshing, exciting, awe inspiring, Ahhhh-mazing!

I am very lucky to have been to Alaska several times in my life since I have family that lives there. Whenever I get off the plane, it is like stepping onto home soil and I am transported to a place that remains untamed and unspoiled – where wildlife walks down the street, where streams run fresh and clear, and where mountains can be seen from the biggest cities Alaska can boast.

If you have ever considered going to Alaska, I say – go, go, GO!!!!! You will never regret this once of a lifetime experience, and I am blessed to say I have been able to experience more than once!. I thought I would share a few of my photos (seems like a lot, but believe me when I say this is severely weeded down… in fact, these photos are predominately from ONE day!! haha). I hope these inspire the wanderlust in you and makes you want to test yourself and push yourself to the last frontier.

Now I want to hear from you… is Alaska on your bucket list? Or have you been lucky enough to cross it off? 🙂

Would love to visit Alaska some day. I enjoy going to places where nature reminds your of fragility as a human, there is something a bit spiritual about being away from our everyday comforts.

Those are awesome beautiful trips, I’m so glad you got to experience Alaska, I have never been but want to go someday, do they have huge mosquitos? I heard they were really bad. Love the yoga pose photo at the end by the way.

Thank you! Yes, the mosquitos can be pretty terrible, but in my humble opinion they aren’t much bigger than what we breed here in Michigan! haha… I’m glad you liked the yoga pose. I’m always trying for something fun and new to do for a picture 🙂
