Sometimes cutting up food for your baby or toddler can be a difficult job if you don’t have two free hands.  You might be holding your little one or carrying something else in one hand, making it difficult to use a knife and a fork. I have already loved using my bite sizers from Mixed Pears to cut up food for my little guy.  I had been prepared ahead of time with lots of homemade baby food in the freezer for when my baby started solids, but found out quickly that my little one wasn’t too interested in the texture of baby food. He soon began eating the food we were eating so I began cutting his food into small enough pieces for him to eat. The Bite Sizers are so easy to use on a variety of different foods, and I love that I don’t need to have both hands free.  I expect with more children at the table these would become even more convenient and helpful as your hands become busier and there is more food to be cut!  IMG_5663IMG_5662They are made completely safe for food and they have a built in sizer guide to help keep food at the recommended size for small children.  They come with a snap on cover making them an easy thing to bring along when you go out to eat or over to grandmas!  Read a little more about them below and try them out yourself!

About Bite Sizers:

1) Make exploring new foods safe and fun. Establish good eating habits early with a wider variety of healthy flavors and textures – right from your own plate

2) Cut your food down to the right size faster than with a fork & knife, right in their bowl vertically or horizontally

3) Use BiteSizers mealtime scissors wherever you are…small enough to keep a second pair in the diaper bag, and give one to the grandparents, too

4) Make sure food is the right size. BiteSizers have 1/2″ built in Sizer Guide which means you can always be confident that you’ve cut to the size recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics

Those are so fun and so handy. This is so much faster then trying to cut them into bite sized pieces with a knife
