Ok, mom confession time. I HATE board games. Like, really really hate them. I have seriously considered hiding all the ‘special cards’ in Candy Land so that I don’t have to face the mental anguish of being three spaces from the finish line and drawing the dreaded gingerbread man card. Don’t even get me started on Chutes & Ladders. All due respect to Milton Bradley, but I am not that mom. So when our BENDASTIX Big Box kit arrived, I was a bit on edge. But from the moment we opened the box until I finally convinced my kiddos four days later that maybe we should take a little break, we ALL had fun creating and re-creating everything from funky glasses to silly monsters to super cute bracelets.
My mom thought these crafty sticks looked like “souped-up pipe cleaners.” And she was right. Think 1985 minus the super pokey ends and endlessly shedding fuzzy pieces and you get the idea.
