Fall is coming and it’s going to be time for some apple picking and making some apple crisp. My favorite fall treat! Along with warm casseroles and lasagna.  I will share my apple crisp recipe with you, but first you need to keep reading about this pretty awesome baking dish that I will be baking it in. But for now let me share with you the lasagna we made in it.

Now, I have never had a baking dish explode on me. Have you? But, why take the chances with other bakeware doing that when you can just use Borolux.  Every other major brand of glass bakeware is made from soda-lime glass, a much cheaper type of glass to mass-produce that can explode during normal use. Consumer Reports has tested and confirmed that the best type of glass to use for bakeware is borosilicate. Borolux is made from our original and patented shatter-proof borosilicate clear glass formula. borolux
Thankful, knowing that it will never happen to my new Borolux baking dish I got to check out.  I must tell you that when they shipped this dish, it was fantastic. This dish was not going anywhere or going to break. They packed it so securely and safe.
lasagna in borolux
My first impression of this dish was the excellent quality and heavy dutiness it had. I have used several baking dishes like this before and never have I seen it have such a thick glass like this. It has very nice wide handles to grip it easier and feel safe while taking it out of the oven.
lasagna in borolux
We decided to make a lasagna in this dish.  It was great for layering the lasgana perfectly.  When it was finished cooking, it was easy to take out of the oven with the handles and I didn’t spill anything. The lasagna came out of the pan very easy, no sticking occured.  When it was all gone, it was so easy to stick in the dishwasher and not have to worry.

  • ALL-IN-ONE BAKING PAN: Prepare, store, cook and serve. Borolux bakeware is freezer, microwave, oven and dishwasher safe.
  • NATURALLY HYGIENIC: Will not absorb odors or flavors and its non-porous surface offers superior resistance to scratches, stains and bacteria.
  • 100% TRUE BOROSILICATE GLASS: Offers superior heat conductivity for consistent and even cooking.

I haven’t heard of this brand before, I wonder how they compare to Pyrex. But speaking of apple crisp, I have a craving now!!

Yummy!!! I love fall with all its bounty from the garden. I haven’t used much for glass baking dishes. I’ve a houseful of boys so I’m just not quite sure if it would be wise.. LOL I’m way more clumsy then them. No seriously I just haven’t had to buy bakeware since we got married. So now with your review I know where to start.

Whenever we make casseroles we always make a double bath for leftovers, and a huge pan would make hat more simple.

I haven’t heard of Borolux baking dishes before and that other glass baking dishes are made with cheap glass that can explode. That is scary! It’s time for me to switch to Borolux. I love the easy clean-up. I always like to bake when the summer is over. Your lasagna photo made me hungry. I haven’t made baked lasagna in a while, since it was so hot almost everything was made outside on the grill. Wish you had a photo of your Apple Crisp and thank you for the recipe.
