ardenwood historic farm :: discover regional parks in your town over spring break

Spring break is here and I’m looking forward to making memories with the kids. We don’t typically go on vacation for Spring Break, but we do like to have some special adventures. We’ve found that exploring regional parks is an affordable and fun way to spend a day. Are you familiar with the tourist spots, parks, or family friendly events in your area? See what a google search can help you find in your town. Since we can’t all make it to sunny Florida, I do hope we get a few days of weather that will allow for some outdoor fun while the kids are off of school.
fun day at Ardenwood Historic Farm
If you live in the Bay Area or if you ever plan a vacation to Northern California, Ardenwood Historic Farm provided a very fun and affordable day trip for our family. Beginning April 1, the farm will be more operational. We visited in March and loved exploring the grounds, feeding the animals, and enjoying a sunny day, but we will be back for the tour of the house, train rides, and programs.

That being said, if you find yourself on Spring break this week and you’re looking for something to do, this is a very affordable place to have an adventure with your family. I hope the peacocks are out so you can see how amazing they are up close. Don’t miss out on pumping some water the old fashioned way. Check the website for daily schedules to help feed the animals too. Here is a recap of our March adventure to Ardenwood Historic Farm in Fremont.
