an easy 3-step routine to make the daylight savings transition smoother {#johnsonspartners #SoMuchMore}

This post features JOHNSON’S® brand products I was given, and sharing some knowledge and stories I’ve learned along the way. All opinions are my own! #johnsonspartners #SoMuchMore

Daylight Savings time is coming, it ends Sunday, November 1, 2015. If you haven’t transitioned with your kiddos well in the past, you know this time of year all too well! I’m thankful because we haven’t had much of a challenge with this transition…but I know that we are definitely in the minority with this. So, I wanted to share with you today a few tips to help your toddler get a good night’s sleep and work on the transition smoothly!

how your phone can help your baby sleep better tonightFirst of all, THERE’S AN APP FOR THAT! I had to. The door was open and I just had to walk through with that verbiage. 🙂 But seriously, JOHNSON’S® has an app for aiding you and your little one’s sleep time. It’s *free*JOHNSON’S® BEDTIME® baby sleep app. If you like to chart things, if you like to manage and watch things, this is for you. It takes the guessing right out of how long your baby slept. You can track your baby’s sleep patterns, research if your baby is sleeping long enough, you can learn about your baby’s sleep score. What’s that you might ask? The app tells you all about it! It’s a good read. You can even get your sleep questions answered by experts! What I like most is the ease of use, the non-busy format of the app, the ‘routine’ feature, the sleep analysis and the music option. While I don’t use the music option a lot, I like having it. My little one likes it too. So yah, basically, it’s a great app!IMG_9287On to the next part of this post. Stuff YOU can do! Since this is a post sharing products I’ve been using this year, I would be reluctant to not share with you JOHNSON’S® Brand baby BEDTIME® products. And there is a great series of products, a 3-step process, if you will, that will help you majorly! They get it. They’ve done the research. They know that a good night’s sleep for baby means YOU get a good night’s sleep too. Crucial! They put together a routine I’ll highlight today that will help your 7-36 month old baby/toddler conquer their sleeping routine! Heck, it’s clinically proven to help your baby fall asleep up to 30% faster and be 58% less likely to wake during the night hours. Yes!!

Not only are the products good and trusted, they have thoughtful ingredients in them, like the fact that JOHNSON’S® bedtime products release NATURALCALM® essences–a special blend of gentle and calming aromas to help soothe your baby. I haven’t found anything other than, straight up lavender, that will do the same. To me, it takes the thinking right out of the process. IMG_9258Start with bath time. Get the right temperature for you and your baby in the bath and start the process with JOHNSON’S®  baby BEDTIME®  bath or JOHNSON’S®  baby BEDTIME®  bubble bath and wash. We always go for the bubble. My 20-month old LOVES bubbles! We do get in a little play, even when we do nighttime bath time. I don’t use this as just down time. It’s some of our only time together without her siblings. Although, we tend to get a couple onlookers or even joiners from time to time. We love our bath time over here, especially when bubbles are involved. I’m smiling as I’m typing this because I’m thinking of all the memories we have created in bath time alone! 😉 IMG_9275We follow our bath with lotion. Every time. I have dry skin, so I always lotion up after a shower, yet, my husband never did. He used to find it so odd that I would lather up the kiddos with JOHNSON’S® when they got out of the bath, until he realized how much fun it was — the quality time and the seeking in to each others’ eyes as we moved from arm to leg to toes and talked about each body part. Add in the tickles and the giggles to perfect the process. 🙂 JOHNSON’S®  baby BEDTIME®  lotion has been a warmly welcomed addition to our routine. IMG_9262Before bed, and after bath time, we do a little quiet time. We all sit together in one of the girls’ rooms and read. My littlest loves this time. She looks around at her big sisters and watches everything they do. We rotate who will be reading the book, either mom, the 9 year old or the 6 year old. It’s treasured moments I tell ya! Once it’s time for baby to go to sleep, we wrap her in her sleep sack, turn on her music box, and we are out of there. Sleeping soundly by the time we are at the door. Ha!

All in all, I would like to say we have perfected our bed time routine via the 3-step process shown above.

As always, keep on reading! It’s a fun year of featuring the MANY uses of JOHNSON’S® brand baby products. What have YOU thoughts so far?

    Oh the app sounds neat! I love how you can track their sleeping habits! We do the bath, then storytime too! Storytime is my favorite time of the day to snuggle up and read some good books!
