How is that for a click bait title for this post? I do have a humorous story to tell about a recent bike ride and no pants. However, we need to talk about our new Allen Sports 4 bike hitch rack. It was a Valentine’s Day gift to my husband, but really a family gift. I know many of you aren’t quite into bike riding season, but in California we can bike nearly year round. There are many wonderful trails that we are now able to drive to with our bikes.

We picked this rack because it had very good Amazon reviews, the price was affordable, it holds 4 bikes, and it’s only 22 lbs. We are a family of 5, but we can throw the smallest bike in the back of the car. I don’t have personal experience with getting it on our hitch, but it went well for my husband. There is a key and locking system to hopefully avoid theft too. It comes in a few models depending on your vehicle.

Now for the story about the girl with no pants on…Our Charlie has struggled to learn to ride his bike and even though he’s been riding for a year he still crashes. The smallest distraction and that kid is flying over his handle bars or running into a California Highway Patrol car…TRUE STORY.

This time he crashed his bike because he saw a girl who didn’t have on any pants. I think it was a boutique photo shoot and he drifted into the photographer while staring at the model. The photographer was a tall sturdy guy and he was fine. He was also very kind to see if Charlie was okay. Turns out the girl did have very short shorts on. Oh Charlie, that is distracting. Thankfully he only banged up his knee and we have a story we will giggle about for many years to come.
