add chicago cutlery to your kitchen :: designpro knives {giveaway}

Chicago Cutlery DesignPro knives have been in our kitchen for about a month now.  And boy are we having some fun!  We have entertained three times of parties of 6 or more, and we have used these knives each and every time.  Not only have we used them for our entertaining, but in our daily meal prep as well!

Of the three recipes we have used, our favorite was the Grilled Steak and Potatoes with Smokey Paprika Rub.  Ohhhh yum!  We have used this recipe two times since as well…we have just varied it with the vegetable side.  Broccoli was a great one too!  Ok, here is the ingredient list:

Ingredients
2 beef ribeye steaks, cut 1 inch thick (about 12 ounces each)
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 large russet potatoes, cut lengthwise into 8 wedges each
Salt
1 tablespoon minced green onions
Sour Cream and Onion Sauce (recipe follows) (optional)

Seasoning:
2 tablespoons smoked or Spanish paprika
1-1/2 teaspoons sugar
1-1/2 teaspoons chili powder
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/2 teaspoon ground red pepper

*full on recipe pulled from THIS LINK!*

Now a little about the knives themselves and why I think you should pick some up.  These puppies are sharp.  So you are not going to be fighting with you food.  You will be saving time in the kitchen not having to dink around with the extra prep time. They are actually made from ultra sharp, Japanese steel blades.  Sounds official, right? Well, I went from quite dull, 10 year old knives to these.  And I can tell you from personal experience, you save time for sure!

In addition, the Chicago Cutlery DesignPro are made with a special handle.  The handle  is designed to aid in the cutting and control (while cutting) experience.

I like putting aside some time once a month or so and chopping onions and bell peppers to freeze. I store them in ziplocs and it’s so nice not to have to start chopping everytime I need them. This would be the first thing I would do with these gorgeous knives.
