Before I had girls I was in the anti-pink, anti-princess camp. But little girls have a way of pulling out your inner diva, complete with fluffy pink boa and glittery shoes. With two frilly, giggly girls in the house, we have an abundance of tiaras and wands and tutus and teeny tiny cloppity-clop “high heels”. (If you have ever heard those little shoes on a hardwood floor, you know exactly what I’m talking about)! As avid readers, we have an abundance of board books and chapter books and reader books. Just like with favorite princess dresses, we have favorite books and this book has quickly become a favorite!
Princess Cupcake Jones is adorable and fun and just sassy enough. Follow her adventures of the day and help her find her missing tutu. Hint: It’s closer than you may think!
Catchy rhymes make reading fun for Mom and Dad and the lesson behind the missing tutu is one that every parent can appreciate:
“When you put things away, I promise you then,
what’s special to you, won’t be missing again.”
As an added bonus each illustration in the book has the word “LOVE” hidden somewhere within it. What kid doesn’t love a little search-and-find?
Another fabulous thing about Princess Cupcake Jones is that she has her very own website! You can go there to learn more about the Princess and her story and find several free printables to color or play!
