If you haven’t seen it yet, the cartoon follows space adventurer Miles Callisto and his family — mom Phoebe, the ships captain and family encourager; dad Leo, a laid-back pilot and inventor; and big sister Loretta, who specializes at computer coding and having her brother’s back. Oh, and there’s Mile’s best friend, a robo-ostrich named Merc {adorable!}
Kids get to learn all about space and science as the Callistos work together to solve problems for the Tomorrowland Transit Authority. It really is a great show that kids {and parents} will enjoy!
And once they have fallen in love with Miles from Tomorrowland, they are going to LOVE the new line of Miles from Tomorrowland toys from TOMY!
Because who doesn’t want their very own Superstellar Blastboard!!!!
Ok, don’t worry! Kids aren’t really going to be zooming or hovering around the yard with this. Although it does give me crazy flashbacks of wanting a hoverboard from a certain Michael J. Fox film series! But, hovering aside, kids are going to love the Superstellar Blastboard!
While kids practice finding their balance on the Superstellar Blastboard, they will get to pick from three different games:
- “Blastboard Surfing!” :: Keep up as Miles gives you Blastboard surfing directions! Kids need to lean forward, backward, left or right, depending on what Miles says, in order to complete the mission.
- “Light Speed!” :: Watch for the flashing lights on the Blastboard and lean in that direction as fast as possible.
- “Let’s Race!” :: Move to your own beat and have fun watching the lights light-up as you lean to the music.
The games really act as three different levels, allowing younger kids to master keeping their balance on the board and learning how their movements cause the lights to light-up in “Let’s Race!”. As they get more confident, they can move on to “Blastboard Surfing!” where Miles is giving them cues as to where to lean. The hardest one is “Light Speed!” because kids have to just pay attention to the lights and don’t have those vocal cues from Miles. It’s a great lesson in balance and paying attention!
Also, as they begin to master the games, the games will begin to go a little faster; really testing their skills!
The Superstellar Blastboard is designed for kids ages 4-8yrs but does suggest a maximum weight limit of 81 lbs.
They will also love reliving Miles’ adventures in their own home with the Maximum Miles action figure!
A 12″ action figure, Maximum Miles comes with his removable space helmet, Laserang, and his very own Blastboard! He also says 10 different phrases from the show AND recognizes his space gadgets. So fun!!!
Of course, what would Miles do with out his best friend Merc? The Maximum Miles action figure is compatible with the Maximum Merc toy (sold separately) and can actually ride on Merc!
Both of these fun Miles from Tomorrowland toys are available now at retailers like Toys R Us, Amazon.com, Walmart, and Target, just in time for a little Back To School treat or to start your Christmas shopping early! Because these are definitely going to be a hit this holiday season! Check out the complete line of Miles from Tomorrowland TOMY toys at TOMY.com and to see where each toy is sold!
