I’ve had the privilege to review several books from Tommy Nelson now, but I don’t think I ever let their mission sink in – “raising faithful kids.” Wow! What an awesome responsibility we have as parents to raise our kids to be faithful… faithful to family, faithful in responsibilities and most importantly faithful to God!
But how do we achieve faithfulness? By being faithful ourselves and showing our children how to live for God! When we are living for Him, the rest will fall into place. Perhaps the most imports way to teach our children is by being in God’s word and teaching them HIS way.
With Devotions for Beginning Readers, your child can be in God’s words and learning more about him every day without big words and confusing statements. Being a Christ-follower is simple; let’s make it simple for our kids to learn more about HIM!
Build confidence in young readers as they learn about God’s love.Devotions for Beginning Readers will help young readers build confidence in their reading skills as they are learning how to have a relationship with Jesus. Also featured is a “today’s word” segment, a vocabulary word that will be repeated throughout the devotion to help children develop their reading skills. Each devotion will close with a short prayer that helps children learn how to pray.Short, straightforward sentences and carefully selected words allow for pleasurable reading and easier comprehension.

I think from the beginning learning about God will help your child’s development in their growing years. What a blessing being able to share the story of God with your little ones.
Beginning early is the key to success! As an adult I find it harder to memorize scriptures. The bible says to store His words in your heart. If I can help my kids do this early, the better they are in the long run.
It’s a quiet time to spend together as a family and to spend time with God
It’s important for children to know as young as possible about God’s unconditional love for them.
It’s so important to just surround them with Gods word from the very beginning!
Young minds are so impressionable and we find it extremely important to build a strong foundation while the kids are still young.
We homeschool and starting our day with devotions gives our day a whole new sense of purpose and meaning. Take care of the seed now so it can have the greatest chance of flourishing later.
It is so good to have time each day to study God’s word!
Spending time together.
It is good to get a start with devotions while children are young.
I think it is SO important because little ones love learning and they are soaking everything up! Even if they don’t quite understand everything yet, I believe it is a seed planted!
It’s important to start developing a relationship with God when you are young because it is important for them to know that God is good, and that they must always have faith and walk in his ways.
We have tried to do devotions with our kids as soon as they could talk!
teach them early so they will want and like to when they get older
I think it is important for them so they can make it a habit early in life!
They learn from us, and by starting them with their own devotionals, they will understand why we do ours. Their own understanding of why we follow God, and what his word means to each of us. This will help their inner heart.
I know my children are like sponges, they soak in everything we say so I feel like it’s important to start devotions at an early age as well as teach them to memorize Scripture!
I think it is important so they can better develop a relationship with God.
It is important to let your children see what they can do to have a relationship with God. Seeing it everyday is so much different than hearing someone talk about it.
I started my little ones off young so that’d it become an everyday way of life. Growing closer to the Lord from the very beginning.
Because younger minds absorb everything they see and hear so it’s important to start teaching them about faith early on. Also a family that prays together, stays together!
I think you can never start to young with having a time to talk to and get closer to God.
It is important that they learn from a young age to set aside time every day to talk and learn about God.
It is best to start them off young knowing the lord
I think its important to establish those habits early on and to let your kids know that daily time with God is important.
It s very important that the kids learn early in life to do this..
so it will become habit
It’s good to start them young and early, that way they will form the habit and continue it into their adult life.
I believe it is important to teach children about spending time focused on God.
It’s never too early to introduce our little ones to God!
