{a SIMPLE Christmas} :: keeping warm and cute with horny toad :: review {@hornytoadinc}

I live in Michigan.  It’s cold and dreary about 60% of the year (It might be more, who knows lol!)  All that being said, you MUST have a good coat to cover you up in the cold weather.  However, for me, I can’t have a big, huge, bulky, non-cute coat.  I am wearing it way to often to not love it.  When I saw the Plottwist Parka from Horny Toad, I knew I had to check it out.

What is not to love about this coat? I can’t think of much so I’m going to tell you what I love!  First off, the hood has a great little checkered pattern in it.  It’s a nice little touch that when my hair is up, you can see it.  Obviously, you can’t see it in these pictures.  In addition, the hood is a great size!  It covers my head fully and there is even room to pull it down further for those wintery, cold, blustery days!

Next, the length of the coat is just right.  On the back side at the bottom, there are drawstrings to help tighten it up around your legs to reduce the blowing and cold.  There is a zipper and button closure on the front of the jacket as well.

There are pockets everywhere for storage, and they are a great size.  I’ve easily fit my large key chain and cell phone in one pocket.  The stitching is pretty fabulous too on the front, adds an extra style factor 🙂 The color is what got me though.  I love to wear grey, and this is a fabulous grey!  It has little flecks of neutral colors throughout which add dimension to it.

I heart this jacket hard!  I have worn this to bus stop and errands all week here as the weather is getting colder. It’s not big and bulky, it’s just right and keeps me SO very toasty warm!

This jacket does run a little big.  I typically wear a medium and I believe a small would have fit me fine.  Just wanted you all to know when you are doing your online shopping for this or anything else from Horny Toad.
