“Mom, how do you draw a fish?”
“What about a shark? And some sea shells?”
“I need a mermaid. What about one of those. Can you draw mermaids?”
Seriously, child! I love her new found passion and interest in drawing, but my drawing skills are….basic. To say the least. Time for reinforcements!
How To Draw is a series of books and ebooks from renowned illustrator, author and comics artist Amit Offir. Created with goal of teaching kids how to draw cartoon characters, animals and objects in just a few quick steps. Offir’s books do just that!
We had the chance to check out Offir’s “How To Draw: Sea World” and Abbi was instantly in love. The book is perfect for her age (7yrs) because it covers the basic sea creature, like a simple fish or sea star, to the more advanced playful dolphins and sea horse. The variety keeps her busy creating all sorts of new underwater scenes!
The How To Draw series includes a wide variety of instructional books from farm animals to dinosaurs and outer space to musical instruments.
The best part, aside from the fact that Abbi loves it, is that these books are super affordable! At just $2.99 per book, I’m comfortable with getting a variety of How To Draw books to meet my daughter’s ever-changing interests. If you have a budding little artist in your house, be sure to check out the How To Draw books!
