I was lucky enough to share Tegu with our readers last year. If you don’t remember you can read my original review here for Tegu’s Magnetic Wooden Blocks. Their story hasn’t changed (and you should go read all about it if you’re unfamiliar), but their products have… because Tegu’s added Mobility!
Tegu’s newest product line, Mobility, still offers the fun of magnetic blocks, but Mobility has added wheels. I don’t know about you, but when I was a kid and my sisters and I played with the building blocks we had, the favorite and most used pieces were usually the ones with wheels. Kids creating vehicles isn’t a new concept, but building vehicles with a Tegu spin is way more fun!
We test drove the Hatch and my girls have just loved mixing these green and black blocks to help create moving creations. Since all the Tegu blocks always work with each other, we’ve also been using the wheels to create some very LARGE vehicles using our existing Tegu collection.
You can just see how proud 4-year-old Michaela was to build her own working vehicle and use her imagination. Even after I took the photo to the left, she continued to add on more pieces, just because she could. To get her settled for bed that night I had to leave the whole set out for her to get right back playing with it again in the morning!
The Mobility line includes 2 silhouette cars, the Maddy Micro and Riley Roadster as well as the Dart and Hatch, which are 2 vehicles that you make using the included 10 blocks, styling tops, and wheels. If you already have Tegu blocks for your kiddos to play with, you can even purchase sets of 4 wheels separately, making it possible to turn any Tegu blocks into a moving masterpiece. my SIMPLE star rating :: 5 out of 5
Hatch or Dart :: $38.00 each
Maddy Micro or Riley Roadster :: $22.00 each
