If you have ever enjoyed Wallace & Gromit or Shaun the Sheep the animation of Timmy Time will look very familiar. Timmy Time is a spin-off of these shows and comes from the same Academy Award-winning creators at Aardman Studios.
The show is centered around a little lame named Timmy who is going to school for the first time. Each episode follows a day in the life of barnyard preschooler Timmy and his variety of animal friends as they learn some important life lessons.
The rich and colorful barnyard background, adorable little animals, and NO TALKING draw kids in. Yes, no talking. Timmy, his teachers, and all his barnyard friends each communicate in whatever “animal-speak” matches their animal type. While you’ll hear no words, be prepared for plenty of meows, baas, quacks, and other animal sounds.
The past week or so I’ve been frequently asked by my 4-year-old, “Mom, can we watch Pirate Timmy?” She loves our new Timmy Time :: Timmy Finds Treasure DVD and her 2-year-old sister just says, “Baaaaa!” when she wants to let me know she’s on board for Timmy Time.
