leapfrog :: touch magic

LeapFrog is a name we have come to trust in our home. I have yet to have a bad experience with any of their products. And, lucky us, we got to try out two of their newest ones!!

We invited a few little girlfriends over to share in the fun and opened up the boxes for a play day.  There were about 8 kids at our house and all were intrigued by the toys.  The ones that were 6 and older weren’t as entertained.  But that is fine based on the suggested age range of 3+.  I guess I expected the 1-4 year olds to be the most excited.  And they were.  Check these out…

First.  The Rockin’ Guitar!

The Touch Magic Rockin’ Guitar brings musical fun and develops preschool skills with every little touch. Kids can choose to play solo without a backup, play along with a band or select electric or acoustic guitar to songs including: Rockin’ Robin, Itsy Bitsy Spider, If You’re Happy and You Know It, and Pop Goes the Weasel. Plus, they can customize their play experience by adding guitar riffs, silly sounds and drums.

The kids thought this was awesome.  They were jammin’ out!  I still catch the girls rockin’ in their rooms.  But during the play day, the kids took turns trying the guitar out.  It is very simple.  With a simple touch, the new options are chosen.

Next.  The School Bus.

Learning the ABCs is a key step in developing early reading skills. The Touch Magic Learning Bus takes children on a musical journey filled with educational discovery and games. With a simple touch, preschoolers can also use the six piano keys and two drum pads to play along with songs that include Wheels on the Bus, ABC Song and an original Rockin’ School Bus. The interactive surface with glossy, smooth graphics encourages exploration and features more than 40 touch points that allow kids to play their way through core learning skills.

I haven’t spent as much time with Adalynn as I did with Lili learning her alphabet, so this has been a fun way to help her memorize her alphabet.  Fun and educational.  Bonus!  Not only does this help with the alphabet, but the musicality in this fun toy is great too!  And again, the simple touch feature is awesome and easy for the kids to use.

All in all, phenomenal gift ideas here folks.  With Christmas and birthdays around the corner in our family and for friends, you can be sure some LeapFrog products are on our gift shopping list!

One last thing I wanted to mention.  Anyone want a chance to win a $500 gift card?  There is a Touch Magic Rockin’ Guitar Contest that ends November 30th, 2012.  Head over to THIS LINK, upload a video of your kiddo using the Touch Magic Rockin’ Guitar (or a guitar you created on your own!).  Again, click the link for more information and details about the contest!
