Delicious Hot Chocolate

Serves: 4 cups
Ingredients
- ⅓ c unsweetened cocoa powder
- ½ c sugar
- 1 pinch of salt
- 3 ½ cups of whole milk
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- ⅓ c hot water
Instructions
- Bring water to a boil in a sauce pan and add the cocoa, sugar, and pinch of salt while stirring. Simmer and stir for about 2 minutes.
- Add in 3 ½ cups of milk and continue to stir until hot, however be careful not to boil.
- Remove from heat and add vanilla.
- ENJOY!
Notes
To top it off with freshly whipped cream:
1 cup of heavy cream
1 tbsp of powdered sugar
½ tsp vanilla
Combine ingredients in a mixing bowl.
Start slowly and progress to a fast speed.
Allow to whip for about 5-6 minutes or until soft peaks form.
Scoop copious amounts atop poured hot chocolate, REPEAT as necessary!
