The Star movie is releasing Nov 17th!
Just the other day my daughter saw this trailer on TV and says “MOM, I want to see this. Can we go see it? Please, Please.” I just love when I hear them say that about a movie like this. It looks super cute and we can’t wait to see it.
Parents need to know that The Star is an animated holiday comedy with a talented, diverse voice cast. It centers on a group of animals who accidentally end up heroes during the first Christmas.
In Sony Pictures Animation’s The Star, a small but brave donkey named Bo yearns for a life beyond his daily grind at the village mill. One day he finds the courage to break free, and finally goes on the adventure of his dreams. On his journey, he teams up with Ruth, a loveable sheep who has lost her flock and Dave, a dove with lofty aspirations. Along with three wisecracking camels and some eccentric stable animals, Bo and his new friends follow the Star and become unlikely heroes in the greatest story ever told – the first Christmas.
I love that you can click over to their website site and find fun resources and fun things to do for the kids. There is an interactive Animated Coloring Book, Activities and Meet the Characters.
This is an unconventional take on the birth of Jesus, and you can expect more comic pratfalls and potty humor than most stories about the first Christmas. But, overall this looks like a family-friendly holiday comedy.
