How does summer go so fast? We’ve enjoyed pool days, our summer vacation to my parent’s cottage, and lots of play dates with friends. While we do have a few more weeks left on our break, it is time to start planning ahead for school supplies. As a kid, my favorite part of going back to school was getting cute folders, labels, notebooks, etc. I still get to enjoy those back to school supplies through my kiddos. My oldest son is going to be in 5th grade and my daughter is going into 3rd grade. We had fun shopping for labels and notebooks that fit their personalities.

My son accused me of going a little sticker crazy on his back to school supplies. It’s actually a very fair observation. I really liked the tiny name labels that we got this year. They are great for the little items that get left behind. I even have plans to use them on my son’s ties that I find in the lost and found. For machine washable items, you just peel and stick them firmly on the tag. It’s not suggested to put them directly onto fabric.

All the personalized labels have unique designs by independent artists. They are durable and a fun way to customize kid’s bottles, food containers, toys, sports equipment, clothing (care tags), and much more. They are made from non-toxic materials and they are dishwasher and laundry safe. There are endless notebook designs as well. Our school requires a steno type notebook to write down homework assignments. The journal is perfect.

The text and colors of the labels can be edited to your liking. My kids like to sit down with me and pick out their favorite labels and we design them together.

Are you planning to take obligatory back to school pics with your child holding a sign stating their grade and the date? I have a quick tip…have them hold a blank sign and add the text later. That way you don’t have to scramble to redo the sign for each child to hold, all while trying to get them to their first day of school on time. I like to use www.picmonkey.com to add text to photos.edit sign later

If your student is in kindergarten or first grade, chances are things like glue sticks, markers, and crayons are going to be pooled together, so labeling them wouldn’t be recommended.

But I LOVE those little labels! Would be great for my daughter’s scissors.
