I am always looking for solutions to life’s little problems. You know, the kind that aren’t significant but add moments of frustration or inconvenience. The summer sun is so wonderful – I’m a desert girl at heart – but it does create its own set of problems! I recently heard about The Original Sunscreen and decided to give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that it solves a few pesky problems that I’ve encountered.

1. I like to sit outside and synthesize Vitamin D, but my drink melts in (approximately) 5 seconds, my phone becomes too hot to touch which can’t possibly be good for it, and my lip balm gets soupy. I grew up in Arizona, so I am no stranger to sun and heat damage. However, I clipped this little shade on our outdoor patio table to cover my items and my problem was solved. I love the view from our balcony, so I’m out there a lot!

strollershade2. It works well clipped to a stroller. Our stroller has a built in sun shade, but if we are walking into the sun, it’s completely ineffective. While out on a walk with my son, I clipped the screen to the side of the stroller and adjusted to block the sun from his eyes. It looks like an alien appendage, but believe me, he is much happier when he isn’t being blinded. Parenting win.

3. It makes a great adjustable car window shade. Our infant car seat has a sun shade, but our convertible car seat does not. Even with the built in shade on the infant carrier, it doesn’t always block the sun depending on the time of day and the direction we’re driving. This shade can be easily adjusted to shade baby’s face. We are planning a road trip this summer to visit several national parks (Glacier, Yellowstone, Tetons…so excited!) and my husband and I thought about getting a traditional window shade for the back seat. However, we think this might work even better, since it can easily be moved and adjusted as needed.

I have seen other uses advertised for this as well. You could clip it to a camping chair at a sporting event or a lawn chair at the beach. We’re definitely planning to take this versatile little shade with us in the car on our road trip so that it’s available whenever we need it…just in time for summer!

I tried to put a duvet cover on a futon mattress with a crate shell foam topper. It wasn’t going well, its something I will try on a day off when I have a tad more patience.

With summer coming it’s a challenge to keep my toddler inside. I worry about him not getting enough liquids to stay hydrated as he plays outside a lot.

My issue is organization, I have a terrible time organizing things in my house. My teenager is actually helping me with this, since she likes that type of stuff, and together we are getting rid of things we no longer want, need or use and organizing what we do want so we can find it easier. We have purchased some baskets, drawer organizers and other things to help us along the way and it’s made a big difference so far.

My little problem was my son throwing his cup off the highchair, stroller, table, etc. I found a great product that works like a leash – it attaches to the cup and another item like highchair, stroller, etc.

I am trying my best to get rid of all the paper clutter in my home. My only helpful solution is to do a little bit every time I go into the den.

One of my favorite solutions was to put a shower curtain rod IN the shower, lengthwise. I then hung S-hooks on it and hung baskets from those. Now those baskets hold all our shampoos, conditioners, body washes, shavers and everything else we need and use in the shower…nice and neat!

Right now we don’t have a baby gate and our 8 month old started moving really quick! We put a wall of boxes up to where she can’t go until we can get a baby gate. Temporary solution!

Shade for the 2 year old I babysit in her stroller. Shade for my 4 year old in her carseat. Shade while driving in the truck for my daughter who sits in the middle would be great too! I love this idea!

As a stay at home mom to our 5.5 month old baby girl, I’m struggling with basement organization since it feels like I never have time to spend a few hours sorting through everything…..I need motivation. 🙂

I encounter little problems on occasion in everyday life like everyone else. I find that when I close my eyes and take a few deep breaths I am generally able to find a solution in a low stress manner.

yes there are lots of little problems in day to day life. Some I’ve come up with solutions for, but don’t have the money to spend on it! One problem I had, was my husband’s coffee comes in a bag, and every time he measured some into the coffee maker, some would spill on the counter, and the bag was annoying. I ended up putting a bag’s worth into a large mason jar with a reuseable screw-top lid, and attaching the measuring spoon on the side. Now it looks tidy and no mess.

For me it is the unexpected things that come up. I don’t like it when my schedule is thrown off, but sometimes you just got to roll with the punches. Take a deep breath and continue.

One little problem I have is finding time to do everything I have to do including working full time. I just do my best each day and try to do a few chores a day.

we are dealing with the same problem with the sun coming in the back of the car. We have a shade for the side window, but there is still a small part of the side window that has sun coming through. We have not figured out a solution yet, but this would help.

Storage is always a problem in my house. I put my seasonal decoration in a clear trash bag and hang on a hook with a clothes hanger. They are up and out of the way in the garage or high up in the closet.
