I love to munch on crunchy snacks. I like sweet foods, I like salty foods, I like FOOD! Have you tried New York Style pita chips. panetini, or bagel crisps? If you are looking for an afternoon snack or a finger food to bring to a party, these chips are made to dip! I like to smear laughing cow cheese on the Panetini. My dill weed dip is divine for dipping veggies, but even better when you dip Garden Fresh Ranch pita chips. I can’t put the pita chips down!
The bag claims “Big Crunch-Less Crumble. The chip made to dip.” That is absolutely true. These are sturdy chips that can hold lots of yummy dip. They aren’t healthy with my Dill Dip, but they are twice baked and not fried. It’s not the chip’s fault that I like delicious dip. If you are making better decisions then I am in the new year, these can be a healthy snack option.
If you are okay with an occasional indulgence, you must try this Dill Weed Dip. It calls for a few specific spices that you may not have, but it makes this dip so unique (in a good way) that all your friends will be begging you for the recipe. My sweet friend who shared this recipe with me many years ago not only wrote out the recipe card, but bought me the Beau Monde spice too. She’s moved away, but I always think of her when I pull out that spice.
I like to bring this dip to family gatherings, church functions, and bridal or baby showers. It is a fabulous spread for a fancy sandwich too!
- 1 pt. sour cream
- 1 pt. mayonnaise
- 2 Tbsp. minced onion (dried)
- 2 Tbsp. parsley (dried)
- 3 tsp. dill weed (NO MORE)
- 3 tsp. Beau Monde
- Mix together and serve with vegetables, pita chips, or bagel crisps.
