let’s talk #WeightWatchers for 2015 – too early to talk resolutions? i think not! {#WWSponsored}

“This post was created as part of a relationship in which I was sponsored by Weight Watchers and given a free three month subscription to try their new Personal Coaching product and write about my experience. Though I was compensated for my time and commitment, all views, positive and negative, are my own. #WeightWatchers #WWsponsored

The cookies. The egg nog. The booze. The wonderful glazed hams. Every where around us at this time of year we have calories screaming our names!! And when I say screaming, I’m talking about yelling our weights from their top of their little, selfish, caloric lungs. Ha! At least, that is how I see it. 🙂

I am coming up on my youngest’s 1st birthday. I always gave myself a year to love the body I was in, post baby. With every other pregnancy I have had, I had always lost the baby weight within that year. Yet, this time I am facing something a little different. Whether it’s the chaotic schedule I keep, the lack of meal preparation, or the inconsistencies at the gym, I haven’t met the 1 year goal..and I’m not afraid to ask for help this time!

We all know the basics. Less of this…

And more of this…

I am really good at knowing how to work out to lose the weight. I am a runner and that typically motivates me. Given the time of year I had my little one, and all the commitments I had after her birth, I didn’t have a chance to get as involved in the workout scene as I have in the past. That being said, I am relying upon my diet more than I have in the past over these long, Michigan, winter months. It’s cold here…so running outside isn’t happening as often as I’d like.

A few of my friends had some serious success with Weight Watchers in 2014, so much success that my ears perked. I honestly didn’t think of Weight Watchers as a “younger person’s” thing. My in-laws are quite involved in Weight Watchers, so I always mentally thought it was something they did. After all, I’m a young buck who can just work out and eat what I want…because I work out. Right? Wrong!!

what can weight watchers do for you

I am here today to share with you a partnership I have started with Weight Watchers for 2015 – and I couldn’t be happier! As I stated above, I’m at a lul in my fitness journey, well, weight loss journey really. I have my fitness goals set, but along the way, I need to get my food and other areas under control. I’m excited to work with Weight Watchers, and their personal coaching had me at the first mention of it!

I know happiness doesn’t come from the number on the scale that looks back at you. That number, however, can look deep in to your soul and tell you things in your own head that hurt. The number is what I want to get past in 2015. I know what number I want to be at, yet I am not sure that my body needs to be at that number. What I want to accomplish in 2015 is to be happy in the skin I am in. I can’t remember the last time I was happy in this skin, you know, fully happy. Now, I have a new happy…and with that new happy comes four beautiful little girls that have left beautiful stripes and extra goodies on my body. Something I will always remember them by. Something I am proud to have because they gave them to me. In the meantime, I will work to love the rest of my body too!

Weight loss is not easy for all, and by partnering with Weight Watchers, I hope to share my successes with you all and show how it works for me and my busy life. Their tools, their support, their training…it just has success written all over it. It can be customized to anyone, so what’s not to love there. I’ll be digging deeper and sharing with you in a couple weeks again. For now though, if you aren’t familiar with it, when starting, they give  you a step by step guide. They start you with food ideas. They ask a bunch of questions, questions that really made me think. Thinking in a good way though 🙂 Then, you get set up with a personal coach that fits your schedule. I’m keeping this very basic, but loving what I’ve learned so far!

Why not get started with me today. Check out the social channels below and start your research!! I can’t wait to share with you along my journey! I would love to hear some success stories from you all as well!!

Who will start their journey with me today…in to 2015? Let’s do this together! It’s a marathon, not a sprint to our total health and the Weight Watchers personal coaching is my solution in the new year!

Connect with Weight Watchers socially – they have Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Instagram too! You can find them all via the Weight Watchers home page!

    I have had problems with weight for a while (years). I lived up north in Maine for about 10 years and my partner believed in BIG meals. I didn’t always eat it all, but…………. When I left and moved back here, it was just easier to grab a bowl of cereal or a couple pieces of toast and peanut butter or a whole bowl of rice and chicken than to fix a good balanced meal. During all of this I was (and am) diabetic, but was taking oral medication and not testing my blood sugar very often (think ostrich). Several weeks ago, after being without my oral medication due to the drug company not coming through with free meds (the one I took, Januvia, cost over $700 a month since I had no insurance), my blood sugar went over 400. I got scared, went to my doctor and she put me on insulin. I am working with a diabetic counselor to balance out my sugar and am eating well-balanced meals and snacks. Although I see this as a blessing, I have read that being on insulin causes weight gain. Also, I have severe arthritis and have trouble exercising. I am walking more than I was, although this leaves me in great pain. (another story – I can’t take anti-inflammatories since the diabetes meds caused me to have kidney problems!!!) I am trying and working with a diabetes program online as well.

    I cut out soda and had to change my diet. I will be have bariatric surgery soon because my health problems do not let me loose weight on my own. I do not love my body. I already do not process the nutrients from food and have to take stomach enzymes to help digest my food. I avoid food with artificial flavors and colorings.

    I have been telling myself for too long that losing weight would be too hard and my “new” body was just the consequence of age and 5 kids. I am so excited to be partnering with WW this year, too. I’m already feeling better!

    I’m a lifetime member! I am not at goal yet after Charlie and I feel like I could have written your post about not being at number I want at 1 year mark, but also learning to love my body. HEalthy is my goal and WW is an awesome diet with super great tools and apps. My mom got me the active link for Christmas but Fitbit syncs too!
