Thankful Heart ThursdayHappy Thankful Heart Thursday!  Did you put your kids on the bus earlier this week to send them back to school for another year??  I did, and it was just as heart-wrenching this year as it was last year.  It makes me wonder if it ever really gets any easier for those of us Mommas who have sap running through our veins 😉

I don’t know if it will ever get easier to say goodbye to my sweet daughter, but I did ease my mind a little by turning my sadness into thankfulness on Tuesday.  I am so very thankful that my daughter has a safe and loving place to learn and grow.  It’s something that some of us may take for granted living in nice towns, but not every child has that same opportunity.

School is not always a great place to be for kids.  I know that a lot more goes into it than I could dream of, but I would imagine it’s the school board, administration, teachers, students, volunteers, and parents that make a school what it is and therefore, all schools are not created equal.  Lucky for us, and mostly lucky for my daughter, we live in a place where all that comes together and exceeds my expectations by 100!  We are so blessed!!

So, for today, I am so incredibly thankful for a safe and nurturing place for my daughter to spend her time each day.  The teachers and staff are so amazing and I truly believe they care for each and every one of their students.  What a comfort to me, as a parent, to know that Lexi is in such great hands when she’s not in mine!!  It’s a priceless gift!!

What is it that you’re thankful for today??  If you share with me, I’ll share with you.  All you have to do is join the conversation!!  Share your thankful heart with me by commenting below and you’ll be entered into our monthly giveaway.  Super SIMPLE!!  It pays to be thankful!!

I didn’t have a lump in my throat when Jack started school last week, but it was sad to see him go. We had such a great summer. I too am VERY thankful for the school he attends. What a privilege it is to live in a free country that allows me to send him to a private Christian school. I am very thankful for his teachers that love him and teach him every day.

I’m thankful for my health today. I did a deep water aerobics class and I was surprised at what I was able to accomplish. I’m grateful that I’m able to be active like that.
