Sunshine Pillows LogoAs one of those lucky people who suffer from chronic neck and back pain I’m always glad to see summer arrive.  Warmer temps mean less bouts of sitting on the heating pad all day but unfortunately they don’t end completely.

Have you ever tried to use a heating pad on your neck or shoulders? Not very comfortable.  As in, not at all comfortable.

Sunshine Pillows Lavender scented Microwavable Neck WarmerI’m super excited about my newest way to combat the pain from Sunshine Pillows, a Lavender-scented Microwaveable Neck Heating Pad. Not only is it a great way to comfortably work the kinks out from one of my biggest trouble spots, with a cup of lavender mixed in with the filling it smells awesome as well!

To use the Lavender-scented Microwaveable Neck Heating Pad all you need to do is microwave it for 1 minute and then 10 second increments until it reaches your desired heat level and the flax seed filling will hold the heat for up to 30 minutes.

lavender fieldsIf you’re in need of some cold therapy you can even freeze the pillow for 30 minutes.  I think this is a great way to help cool down even when you don’t need help with any pain during these hot summer months.

The fleece fabric cover has a velcro closure and is machine washable.  It comes in 4 different color/pattern options and weight in at 2.5 lbs measuring 12″x12″x2″.   There’s no water needed and no cords to tie you down and OH-Oh-oh how I love the scent of all that fabulous lavender!

As moms I’m sure most of you also get a fair amount of tension built up in your neck and shoulders.  Carrying kids, carrying gear, bending over to give baths, cleaning the house, and all the other everyday stresses of motherhood quickly build up.  This is a great way to manage those every day stresses with some heat/cold relief with some bonus aromatherapy!
