What better way to celebrate the longest day of the year than by taking a bike ride? And don’t you want your bike to look awesome while you’re riding it on a warm summer evening? My bike recently got a new accessory just for this occasion – a handlebar bag from Savvy Sacs on Etsy! It’s always nice to have extra storage when you go on a ride because the last thing you need is for stuff to fall out of your pockets as you ride around town! Check out how cool my bag looks on Shirley Schwinn:
Isn’t that just so boho chic and SO ME?! I love the fabric, and I adore the embroidery on the bias tape. It attaches to the handlebars with velcro straps, and goes on in just a few seconds. I was able to fit my phone, wallet, keys and sunglasses in it, and I could have tossed in a lip gloss and a hair clip if I had them on me. Perfect for the essentials! It is going to hang on the inside of the handlebars since my basket goes on the front, but I took the basket off so you could see how adorable this bag is on the front of a bike! It’s actually a perfect size for my use because it will fit right under the front of Lily’s bike seat, but she won’t be able to kick it. Score!
Savvy Sacs is run by two awesome women named Martiel and Lee. Their shared love for sewing, paired with Martiel’s newfound hobby of road cycling led to the birth of Savvy Sacs. They are dedicated to making the perfect bag for any person or bicycle, so reach out to them if you want that special custom bag! They have a large stock of fabrics from which to choose and have embroidery capabilities, so if you see something you like but want it customized just for you with special embroidery or fabric combinations, just convo Savvy Sacs and they’ll make it happen!
