Planet Wise is a family-owned company with your family and our planet forefront in their minds. Their goal is to provide products that will allow us all to reduce the waste we put in landfills, while saving money at the same time. Most of their raw materials are Made in the USA (yay!) and the products are made in a local manufacturing facility, which supports their local economy and reduces their environmental impact. These facts alone should make you want to support them!  But then when you take a look at the products they offer, you will want all of them!

Their line of reusable snack bags are really useful and they come in really cute and contemporary fabrics. I chose the “Butterfly” gift pack, and I adore it!  It calls out to my inner hippie *wink* and makes my lunch look so fashionable (face it, anything that makes us feel “cute” is a good thing)! But better than that, it keeps my lunch fresh, while saving me from having to use plastic baggies!

  • Great alternative to plastic baggies
  • Waste-free lunches
  • Replaces aluminum foil & plastic wrap
  • Sandwich wrap doubles as a placemat
  • Perfect size for fruit, snacks, sandwiches or leftovers
  • Fun for all ages!

The sandwich wrap passed an inadvertent test with flying colors. I take bread to work with me when I don’t have leftovers, and then I make a lovely peanut butter sandwich at lunchtime. On Friday, I took bread in my Planet Wise sandwich wrap… and then got so busy that I didn’t eat lunch. Then I got home and got so busy that I forgot to empty my lunch bag. Then the weekend flew by and it was magically Monday morning again. I went to make my lunch, and hello, there was bread in my wrap – and it was STILL SOFT AND FRESH!

On another day, I used the sandwich bag with the velcro to carry my carrots and grapes, the small snack bag for my pretzels, and the wrap for my pumpkin bagel (oh how I love anything flavored with pumpkin!).  The carrots stayed moist, the pretzels stayed crisp, and the sweet savory bagel stayed so fresh!  Oh, and they are a cinch to clean – just wipe with a damp cloth, or rinse and hang to dry on your drying rack.  I love my reusable snack bags!
